Instrumentation Engineer II

What you'll achieve (and why it matters)

Bring your instrumentation expertise into a cutting-edge biopharmaceutical manufacturing facility where reliability, compliance, and technical excellence are essential:

• Lead instrumentation support activities across QC laboratories and manufacturing suites

• Manage the maintenance and calibration lifecycle of analytical instrumentation

• Troubleshoot complex technical issues and restore critical laboratory equipment efficiently

• Oversee external vendors performing maintenance and calibration activities

• Review and approve calibration and maintenance documentation to ensure GMP compliance

• Support the specification, procurement, installation, and commissioning of new instrumentation

• Collaborate with Quality, Engineering, IT, Manufacturing, and laboratory teams to ensure equipment availability

• Participate in deviations, CAPAs, and change controls relating to instrumentation and equipment

• Maintain accurate calibration records and support validated maintenance systems

• Help ensure ongoing inspection readiness for internal audits and regulatory inspections

• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that enhance equipment reliability and operational performance

Your edge (desired, not required)

• 3–5 years' experience supporting instrumentation within the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or other highly regulated manufacturing industries

• Strong troubleshooting and fault-finding experience with QC laboratory instrumentation

• Experience managing calibration and preventative maintenance programmes

• Working knowledge of GMP requirements, data integrity principles, and validated systems

• Experience supporting audits, inspections, deviations, CAPAs, and change controls

• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced technical environment

• Level 7 or Level 8 qualification in Engineering, Science, or a related discipline
