External Manufacturing Procurement Manager – API & CMO Focus

Location: Citywest, Dublin
Contract: 12-Month Fixed-Term Contract

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced procurement or supply chain professional to support a growing external manufacturing network within a regulated pharmaceutical environment.

This role will focus on managing outsourced manufacturing relationships, supplier performance, procurement coordination, and cross-functional collaboration with quality, regulatory, compliance, and finance teams.

Candidates with experience supporting API sourcing, external manufacturing, CDMOs, CMOs, or pharmaceutical procurement are particularly encouraged to apply.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and support relationships with CMOs, CDMOs, and external manufacturing partners.

• Coordinate supplier communications and issue resolution activities.

• Support procurement transactions including purchase orders, invoices, and supplier documentation.

• Work closely with Quality, Regulatory, Compliance, Finance, Labelling, and Supply Chain teams.

• Monitor supplier performance and support escalation management activities.

• Assist with supplier governance, compliance, and operational reviews.

• Support external manufacturing activities related to finished goods, APIs, excipients, packaging, or related materials.

• Maintain accurate supplier and procurement records within ERP systems.

• Drive effective communication between internal stakeholders and external partners.

Requirements

• Experience within Procurement, Supply Chain, External Manufacturing, Supplier Quality, Regulatory, or Operations.

• Experience managing supplier or external manufacturing relationships.

• Strong understanding of procurement processes, supplier transactions, purchase orders, and invoice management.

• Experience working within pharmaceutical, healthcare, biotechnology, medical device, or other regulated manufacturing environments.

• Proven ability to work across multiple functions and stakeholder groups.

• Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-management skills.

Highly Desirable

• API sourcing or API procurement experience.

• Experience working directly with CMOs or CDMOs.

• Exposure to external manufacturing operations and supplier governance.

• Supplier quality, regulatory, compliance, or technical operations experience involving external manufacturing partners.

• SAP or other ERP system experience.
