Job Description

We are partnering with a globally recognised, private equity-backed data intelligence business that has undergone significant change following a carve-out. As the Finance function continues to evolve — including elements of offshoring and structural redesign — the organisation is entering a critical phase of process review, simplification and control enhancement.

They are now seeking an experienced Finance Transformation Manager on a 6-month fixed term contract, available to start immediately, to work closely with the Finance Director in driving operational improvement across Accounting, Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable. This role requires presence in the Central London office 2–3 days per week.

This is a high-impact position focused on modernising core finance processes, strengthening governance, enhancing balance sheet integrity and embedding automation — while also supporting delivery through key reporting and audit cycles. The successful candidate will combine strategic process redesign capability with hands-on operational credibility, particularly during month-end, year-end and audit periods.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead finance process improvement initiatives across Accounting, AP and AR
  • Review and redesign workflows to improve efficiency, standardisation and control
  • Strengthen balance sheet reconciliation processes and month-end close discipline
  • Embed close management and reconciliation tools (e.g. FloQast / Blackline)
  • Establish governance frameworks, KPIs and process ownership models
  • Support annual report preparation and coordinate audit deliverables
  • Drive automation initiatives and optimise ERP/system utilisation (NetSuite preferred)
  • Support change management and adoption across global finance teams
  • Provide hands-on support during peak reporting and compliance periods

About You:

  • ACA (or equivalent) qualified
  • Strong track record in finance transformation, operational excellence or process improvement roles
  • Deep understanding of Accounting, AP, AR and month-end close processes
  • Experience embedding close management or reconciliation tools (e.g. FloQast, Blackline)
  • ERP experience (NetSuite highly desirable; SAP/Oracle also relevant)
  • Experience operating within a PE-backed or fast-paced environment
  • Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence across global teams
  • Highly organised, detail-oriented and delivery-focused
  • Proactive, adaptable and comfortable operating autonomously

If you are a finance transformation professional who thrives in dynamic environments and enjoys driving meaningful, tangible change within a PE-backed setting, we would welcome a confidential discussion.
