An opportunity has arisen with a globally recognised Entertainment Provider known for its creative excellence and international reach. This is a newly created role within a high-performing and expanding area of the business, with responsibility for supporting digital revenue streams. It requires a commercially astute Management Accountant who is at finalist stage in their accountancy qualifications. Ideally, candidates will have working knowledge of royalties or a strong understanding of the financial mechanics associated with licensing. Strong attention to detail is essential, along with the ability to thrive in a data-driven environment.

Study package offered & hybrid working

Responsibilities include:

  • Own digital revenue allocation and reporting for key clients, ensuring accurate and timely recognition in line with contracts and internal policy
  • Review and authorise deals within the rights management system, partnering with the Royalties team to ensure documentation and participant share accuracy
  • Deliver month-end close activities, including accruals, digital reconciliations and key balance sheet reviews
  • Produce monthly management accounts for the Digital function, providing revenue analysis, variance commentary and insight
  • Deliver ad hoc commercial and variance analysis to support senior management and wider business decisions
  • Support budgeting and forecasting cycles, including coordination of producer share information across territories
  • Produce monthly digital producer share reporting for regional IP owners and act as a key point of contact for related queries
  • Proactively identify opportunities to improve financial processes, efficiency and commercial outcomes
  • Provide day-to-day oversight and guidance to a Finance Assistant
  • Support external audit requirements

Candidate specification:

  • Finalist stage ACCA/CIMA or equivalent
  • Experience gained preferably within an Entertainment, Media or similar environment; Exposure to Royalties or Licensing Accounting would be beneficial
  • Exceptional communication, presentation and interpersonal skills;
  • Collaborative team player, finding it easy to build strong, effective working relationships
  • Advanced Excel skills (proficient with SUMIF / pivot tables and XLOOKUP’s); Knowledge of SAP is beneficial
  • Comfortable dealing with large and complex datasets
  • Highly organised, great attention to detail and deadline orientated
  • Self motivated, proactive and logical approach
