Great opportunity for an experienced Management Accountant with TV Production experience!

This position sits within one of the UKs leading Entertainment companies with a strong TV/Media Production & Distribution division, known for producing and selling a huge array of award winning programmes to global audiences.

This is an important role within the finance team and will produce accounts and provide financial support to the TV Production division, alongside providing an element of support to the distribution business. You will liaise directly with Production &  Sales Execs alongside, senior members of the finance & TV teams, giving you some great commercial exposure within a fast paced environment.

This interesting and varied position will oversee the duties of a Finance Assistant and is a real blend of Management Accounting and Business Partnering.

To be a suitable candidate, it is essential that you have previously worked within a TV Production company. Ideally you will be Part or fully qualified, however industry experience is more important.  You must have a proven background in preparing management accountants and preferably have exposure to royalties.

This is a 15 month fixed term contract.

Responsibilities of the role include:

• Support the production of monthly management accounts, delivering insightful variance analysis and commentary.
• Ensure accurate revenue recognition across multiple income streams and maintain strong compliance with the Group’s control framework.
• Oversee balance sheet integrity for the Television Group through rigorous reconciliations and clear-downs of all GL codes.
• Manage currency bank accounts and FX cash flows to optimise financial efficiency.
• Assist with quarterly VAT returns, including review of production-related submissions.
• Lead the preparation of bi-annual residuals and participation reporting.
• Collaborate with Business Affairs, Television, and Distribution teams to interpret complex contracts, validate payment terms, and confirm accurate royalty waterfall allocations.
• Review and approve weekly payment runs while providing guidance and mentorship to Assistant Management Accountants.
• Assist with the annual audit and respond to ad hoc queries from the FC, FD and wider business 

Candidate requirements include:

• Previous management accounting experience gained within a TV Production company is essential
• Professional accounting qualifications is advantageous
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build strong working relationships with all levels of people
• Advanced Excel: pivot tables, v-lookups, able to utilise models etc
• Highly organised and able to work to tight deadlines
• Strong team player
• A genuine interest in TV & Film
• Highly motivated, logical approach, ‘can-do’ attitude
