Job Description

An award-winning Entertainment Group is seeking a Finance Assistant to join its Client Payments Team. With numerous operations including Talent/Artist Management and TV production, this independent business is recognised as one of the most established and respected names in the sector.

The Client Payments Team plays a key role in the company, ensuring accurate and timely payments to a roster of top talent across TV, film, theatre and live entertainment. This position offers exposure across accounts payable, receivables and payroll, providing the chance to build broad finance skills while working closely with colleagues in a dynamic, creative environment.

To be a suitable candidate, it is essential that you have previous finance experience. Ideally this will be in Client Payments, but finance admin, Accounts Payable or Payroll will also be considered.  You will be happy to work in a busy, dynamic environment and have excellent communication skills.

Key responsibilities

  • Prepare/process client payments and preparing statements for approval
  • Raising and coding invoices and sales orders
  • Allocation of incoming monies, preparing daily income reports and posting bank receipts
  • Reconciliation of bank accounts, across multiple currencies
  • Liaising with Talent Managers & internal stakeholders to resolve payment queries
  • Monitoring and chasing aged debtors
  • Assist with preparing payment runs
  • Supporting ongoing process improvements and system enhancements
  • Assisting with ad hoc financial reporting and analysis

About you

  • A min of 6–12 months’ experience in a finance role (AP, AR, Payroll or Finance Admin – media/creative sector experience a plus)
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively with different stakeholders
  • Highly organised with strong attention to detail and a deadline-driven approach
  • Proactive, adaptable and a strong team player
  • Genuine interest in the media and entertainment industries
