Job Description

A leading TV production company is looking for Qualified Management Accountant to join their team on a fixed term contract basis. This is a broad and varied role that is a blend of both financial & management accounting and reporting.

This award winning TV indie is known for producing ground breaking, innovative content that is loved by global audiences and with a number of hit shows and a very healthy slate of new and returning non-scripted series, they are definitely a company to join.

The ideal candidate will be a Management Accountant from the TV industry or an ACA qualified with a practice background (CIMA/ACCA with TV/Entertainment industry experience will be considered), ideally with 1 year post qualified experience. You will be a confident communicator with a strong academic background, alongside an engaging, confident, and approachable personality.  

The contract will be for 12 months and is hybrid working, requiring you to be in their lovely Central London offices at least 2 days a week.

Responsibilities of the role include:

  • Prepare monthly management accounts and management reporting pack
  • Manage & coordinate the month & quarter end accounting process
  • Manage the financial reporting requirements of the group and to the parent company
  • Prepare statutory accounts under IFRS and tax packs for all legal entities
  • Assist with the annual audit process
  • Monthly rolling forecast reconciliation and reporting
  • Consolidation of monthly results and manage intercompany reconciliations
  • Balance sheet reconciliations
  • Review & reconcile the margins on bi-annual music publishing royalities

Candidate specification:

  • Professionally qualified accountant (ESSENTIAL), ideally ACA (CIMA/ACCA will be considered) preferably with 1 year PQE
  • Experience of working in or with a TV/Entertainment/Media business would be highly beneficial
  • Working knowledge of IFRS
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to forge effective and strong working relationships
  • Great eye for detail, organised and deadline orientated
  • Self motivated, ‘can-do’ attitude and able to work in a fast paced, dynamic environment
  • Strives for excellence in a collaborative manner and constantly looking to drive effective improvements
  • A genuine interest in TV/Entertainment industry
