A new opportunity has arisen within a leading entertainment group for an experienced Management Accountant to join their team.
This highly creative, award-winning organisation has various divisions that include Talent Management & TV/Content production and with UK & US offices this is a busy and exciting company to join.
This position will oversee the finances for the Artist/Talent Management division, working closely with management and liaising directly with the Artist Managers and their Assistant’s, whilst also supporting the central finance team.
These labels have a wealth of established, and up & coming talent on their books and continues to build a healthy, and enviable list of clients from the entertainment industry.
To be a suitable candidate, ideally you will be fully qualified, although Finalist candidates will be considered, with previous experience gained within the Media/Entertainment/Creative sectors. You will have a positive, can-do attitude, strong communication skills and the ability to think on your feet in a fast moving environment.
Responsibilities of the role include:
- Prepare the monthly management accounts for the Talent division to include balance sheet, P&L, variance analysis
- Assist with the preparation of the annual budget and re-forecasts
- Cashflow monitoring and forecasting, ensuring sufficient cash is in place and monitor recharges
- Manage and develop a finance assistant, ensuring accuracy of work load and sufficient training for their own development
- Prepare monthly & quarterly reports for management
- Financial Analysis relating to client costs, revenue and any related projects
- Business partner key stakeholders, providing analytical support and advice to assist with business decisions
- Oversee the overhead cost, control management of debt
- Work with the client payments team, monitoring costs/sales and understand variance
- Assist with VAT and any related tax journals for the division
- Assist with the year end audit
- Manage intercompany recharges & WIP
Candidate specification:
- Ideally fully qualified accountant (CIMA/ACCA/ACA or equivalent), Finalists will be considered and potential QBE with relevant experience
- Experience ideally gained within Entertainment, Talent/Artist Management, Media or similar industry
- Must be able to prepare full sets of management accounts
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build strong working relationships with all levels of people
- Advanced Excel: pivot tables, v-lookups, able to utilise models etc
- Highly organised, great time management and able to work to tight deadlines
- Strong team player
- A genuine interest in Entertainment, TV & Film
- Highly motivated, logical & proactive approach, ‘can-do’ attitude
