Job Description

A TV/Film & Entertainment specialist training and development organisation is looking for an experienced Grants & Contract Manager to join their team.

 

This leading organisation is supported by contributions from across the sector and relevant councils and works with businesses and individuals providing courses, training and development initiatives to allow for the UK's continued global success within the TV/Film & Entertainment sector.

 

This position will support the Head of Finance & Operations, taking the lead on various grants, bursaries and non-grant programmes ensuring that projects fall within budget, whilst ensuring funders’ requirements are met.

 

To be a suitable candidate it is essential that you have held a similar role, ideally within an education establishment and it would be beneficial if you have a genuine interest in TV & Film and the associated sector.

 

This is a hybrid role and requires an individual to work in Central London for 2-3 days a week.

 

 

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Support the delivery team with the development of industry-appropriate schemes, guidelines, funding programmes, and application forms for the fund; alongside informing on fund processes/priorities
  • Collate assessment of applications for the funds, review project budgets, cashflow summaries, financial assessments and prepare recommendation reports for the relevant decision makers
  • Prepare monthly grants cash flow forecasting
  • Ensure projects are delivered within budget
  • Manage the finance processes & procedures for grants commissioning rounds and tenders
  • Responsible for the grants contracts ensuring they are legally sound, are linked to deliverables and inline with policies
  • Prepare weekly journals
  • Involvement in monitoring grants, ensuring appropriate outcomes and reporting requirements are met, authorising grant payments
  • Support the Bursaries' financial process
  • Take the lead on budget & cashflow management for each of the funding programmes in relation to grants & bursaries
  • Assist with preparing funding reports for stakeholder
  • Develop, implement & maintain effective grant management and reporting systems
  • Regularly review aged grant creditors reports and action accordingly
  • Provide support during the financial and performance audits

 

 

Candidate Specification:

  • Proven experience of working in a similar role within a finance dept
  • Experience of contract & grants management is essential
  • Previous experience in data analysis & manipulation;
  • Experience of legal compliance/documents
  • Proven background in setting up processes to ensure master templates and contracts are reviewed
  • Exceptional verbal & written communication skills
  • Advanced Excel
  • Excellent organisational skills, attention to detail and able to manage multiple tasks with little supervision
  • Self motivated, committed to delivering a high calibre of work
  • Great team player, customer focused and solutions orientated
  • Logical & innovative approach to your work.
