Are you an ambitious Personal Tax Assistant Manager or an established Personal Tax Manager looking for a new challenge with a leading firm of accountants?

This is a wonderful opportunity for a qualified individual who enjoys managing a team and is looking for a new opportunity within a highly reputable mid-sized London Practice.

Reporting directly to the Partners, the role will manage a diverse portfolio of clients and requires a strong team leader who enjoys managing, developing and mentoring a busy team.

Role Specification includes:

  • Reporting directly to and working closely with the partners, predominantly on tax compliance but also advisory matters
  • Reviewing personal tax and LLP partnership tax returns in a wide range of industries, and ensuring that work is turned around on a timely basis
  • Preparing more complicated tax returns and considering the impact of changes in tax legislation
  • Undertaking tax due diligence projects for a range of clients
  • Managing tax payment deadlines
  • Liaising with HMRC in relation to tax enquiries
  • Liaising with clients, including attending client meetings
  • Identifying tax planning opportunities and drafting proposals for client consideration
  • Billing, budget and WIP management
  • Portfolio management, updating client workflows

 

Candidate specification:

  • The role would ideally suit a CTA Qualified Tax Specialist or Qualified Accountant from a mid - to top-tier accountancy practice.
  • You will be working within a specialist tax team, and must be able to demonstrate Personal Tax compliance experience
  • Experience of reviewing, preparing and filing UK client returns
  • Staff management experience and proven ability to develop more junior team members
  • Ability to profitably manage a client portfolio
  • Have the ability to build great rapport and relationships with colleagues, team members and clients.
  • Exceptional communication skills
