Job Title: Fabrication Manager
Salary: Dependent on experience
Location: Midland, TX (In-person)
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Fabrication Manager with expertise in oil, fabrication, drafting, and engineering to join our team in Midland, TX. This role is pivotal in supervising shop operations and ensuring quality and safety in an expanding company environment.
Supervision and Leadership:
Directly supervise vessel shop and/or tank shop personnel.
Resolve employee concerns and complaints related to job duties and descriptions.
Assist the Director of Operations in onboarding and training new employees, including orientation on quality policy, job requirements, and specific work instructions.
Production and Process Management:
Provide input to assist in creating the manufacturing production schedule.
Monitor manufacturing processes to ensure product quality and hold subordinates accountable.
Identify material defects, areas for improvement, and other product weaknesses.
Notify the Production Manager and inspectors of any discrepancies that could delay production.
Quality and Safety Oversight:
Collaborate with inspectors to ensure all quality records for the designated production area are completed.
Ensure compliance with company safety standards and report all safety incidents.
Monitor and maintain supplies of personal protective equipment (PPE) for employees.
Engineering and Drafting Collaboration:
Work closely with engineering and drafting teams to ensure designs are executed effectively in production.
Provide feedback on fabrication designs to improve efficiency and quality.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Proven leadership and interpersonal skills.
Bilingual in Spanish preferred but not required.
Ability to recognize and address material defects and process improvements.
Flexibility to work a varied schedule as needed.
