Key Responsibilities
Safety and Compliance
- Ensure adherence to safety standards set by Smith Industries LLC, especially for fabrication and oil industry operations.
Equipment and Resources Management
- Oversee the selection, maintenance, and optimization of equipment critical to fabrication and engineering processes.
- Determine required resources and provide accurate cost estimates for production in the oil and gas sector.
Production Coordination
- Collaborate with engineering, purchasing, maintenance, and quality control teams to enhance production processes.
- Manage production schedules, ensuring alignment with oil sector project timelines and fabrication specifications.
- Review and analyze reports to address product or process nonconformities, particularly in engineered components for the oil industry.
Quality Assurance
- Monitor product standards for fabricated goods and oil sector equipment.
- Develop and implement quality control programs tailored to industry-specific standards.
- Ensure quality records are completed and discrepancies addressed to maintain compliance and efficiency.
Process Optimization
- Monitor and refine production processes to address challenges such as equipment failure or operational issues.
- Consult with engineering teams to improve production techniques and the quality of fabricated and engineered products.
- Ensure goods are produced efficiently with proper quantities, quality, and cost control.
Team Leadership and Support
- Supervise and lead production teams, ensuring accountability and adherence to quality standards.
- Resolve team concerns related to job duties or descriptions to maintain a positive and productive work environment.
Industry-Specific Contributions
- Consult on engineering designs to ensure compatibility with fabrication methods and oil industry requirements.
- Identify opportunities to enhance production methods for oil and gas equipment and fabricated components.
