MAT Recruitment is working with a highly regarded sixth form college in Warrington seeking a specialist A Level Geology Teacher who can also deliver Applied Science. This is an immediate-start, long-term opportunity for someone who can turn complex scientific concepts into engaging lessons and inspire the next generation of geologists, environmental scientists and scientific thinkers.

The Role

You'll be delivering A Level Geology alongside Applied Science, supporting post-16 learners as they develop their subject knowledge, practical skills and confidence.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Planning and delivering engaging, challenging A Level Geology lessons.

• Teaching Applied Science, linking scientific theory to practical, real-world applications.

• Preparing students for examinations, assessments and progression into higher education.

• Monitoring student progress and providing constructive feedback.

• Encouraging curiosity, critical thinking and independent learning.

• Working collaboratively with colleagues to maintain high standards of teaching and learning.

What We're Looking For

We're particularly interested in hearing from teachers or lecturers who:

• Have experience teaching A Level Geology.

• Can also confidently deliver Applied Science.

• Hold QTS, QTLS, a PGCE or a relevant teaching qualification.

• Have strong subject knowledge in Geology, Earth Sciences or a related discipline.

• Can engage and motivate post-16 learners.

• Are available immediately or at short notice.

Importantly, Geology is the priority. We're looking for a Geology specialist who can also teach Applied Science, rather than a general Science Teacher without A Level Geology experience.
