Job Description

This is an excellent opportunity for a strong Maths practitioner who would like to teach in a different way, working with smaller groups of learners and helping young people overcome barriers to education.

The provision delivers personalised online learning to students with a range of needs, abilities and previous educational experiences, creating an environment where young people can rebuild confidence, engage with learning and make meaningful progress.

The Role

You will deliver structured and engaging Maths lessons to secondary-aged learners, adapting your teaching to individual starting points and helping students develop both their mathematical ability and confidence.

The role will involve planning and delivering high-quality online lessons, monitoring progress and adapting teaching approaches to ensure students remain engaged and appropriately challenged.

We are looking for someone who:

• Is an enthusiastic and knowledgeable Maths practitioner
• Holds QTS or has significant relevant teaching experience
• Is confident teaching Maths to secondary-aged learners, including qualification-level study
• Can break down mathematical concepts and explain them in different ways
• Can differentiate effectively for learners with SEND
• Is patient, adaptable and committed to inclusive education
• Can build strong relationships with young people remotely
• Is confident using technology to deliver engaging online lessons
• Has strong safeguarding awareness
• Has SEND experience or a genuine interest in specialist education

Previous online teaching experience would be advantageous but is not essential. The ability to engage learners, adapt teaching effectively and build positive relationships will be key.
