Job Description

MAT Recruitment is recruiting for a strong Maths Teacher to join a secondary school in Manchester on a temporary basis. This is an excellent opportunity for a teacher who can confidently deliver Maths across KS3 and KS4, establish positive relationships with pupils and maintain high standards in the classroom.

The school is looking for someone who can step into the role and make an immediate impact. You will need to be a secure classroom practitioner with strong subject knowledge, effective behaviour management and the ability to deliver engaging lessons to pupils with a range of abilities.

The Role

As the successful English Teacher, you will:

• Teach English across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4
• Deliver both English Language and English Literature
• Plan and deliver engaging, well-structured lessons
• Support pupils with their preparation for GCSE English
• Assess pupil progress and provide effective feedback
• Maintain high expectations for behaviour, effort and achievement
• Adapt teaching to meet the needs of different learners
• Work collaboratively with colleagues within the English department

About You

To be considered for this position, you must:

• Hold UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
• Have experience teaching English within a UK secondary school
• Be confident teaching KS3 and KS4 English
• Have strong knowledge of the secondary English curriculum
• Be a confident and effective classroom practitioner
• Have strong behaviour and classroom management skills
• Be committed to achieving positive outcomes for pupils
• Demonstrate a professional, reliable and flexible approach

Experience teaching GCSE English Language and Literature is essential.
