MAT Recruitment is working with a dynamic independent SEN school in Surrey to appoint a motivated and forward-thinking Headteacher. This is a fantastic opportunity for a dedicated leader to make a significant impact on the school's academic standards, student outcomes, and overall culture. This is a full-time, permanent role to begin from September 2026.
As Headteacher, you will play a key role in the development and implementation of strategies to ensure that all students make outstanding progress. Working closely with the Senior Leadership Team, you will uphold the schools values and contribute to fostering a positive and inclusive environment that supports the success of both staff and students.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the Senior Leadership team in driving excellence across the school, ensuring high standards of teaching, learning, and student outcomes.
- Provide strategic advice to the SLT and governors, promoting continuous improvement and informed decision-making across the school.
- Lead by example, instilling a culture of accountability and high expectations for both staff and students.
- Align systems and structures within the school to its vision and values, creating an effective and cohesive learning environment.
- Present clear and accurate reports on school performance to governors, parents, and other stakeholders.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with the local community and external partners, enriching the educational experience and fostering collaboration.
About You
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and relevant degree.
- Experience within a Headteacher or Senior Leadership role for a SEN School
- Proven track record of raising attainment and engaging learners.
- Strong subject knowledge and understanding of current pedagogy.
- Commitment to professional development and inclusive practice.
