A thriving secondary academy in Oldham is seeking to appoint a talented Teacher of English from September 2026.

Key responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality English Language and Literature lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4
  • Inspire students to develop confidence in reading, writing and communication
  • Monitor progress and use assessment effectively to support achievement
  • Contribute to the ongoing development of the English curriculum
  • Uphold high standards of teaching, learning and behaviour

The successful candidate will have:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Experience teaching English in a secondary setting
  • Excellent subject knowledge and classroom practice
  • Strong behaviour management skills
  • A commitment to achieving the best possible outcomes for young people
