A secondary school in Rochdale is looking to appoint a resilient and confident Maths Teacher to join their team on a temporary basis.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a strong classroom practitioner who can quickly establish positive relationships, deliver engaging lessons, and maintain high expectations across Key Stages 3 and 4. The school is seeking someone who can confidently manage behaviour, create a focused learning environment, and ensure pupils remain engaged and on track.

QTS is mandatory for this position.

The successful candidate will join a supportive department and wider school team that values consistency, professionalism, and high standards within the classroom.

The role will involve:

• Teaching Maths across KS3 and KS4
• Planning and delivering engaging lessons in line with the curriculum
• Managing behaviour effectively and confidently
• Supporting pupil progress through clear feedback and assessment
• Maintaining a calm, structured, and positive classroom environment

The ideal candidate will have:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
• Experience teaching Maths within a secondary school setting
• Strong behaviour management skills
• The ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff
• A proactive and adaptable approach
