Job Description

We are currently recruiting for a dedicated Intervention Support Workers on behalf of a school committed to improving student behaviour and outcomes. This is a key role aimed at supporting a positive school environment where discipline and respect are central values. This is to start as soon as possible.

The school is based in Bolton, Greater Manchester and you must have a DBS on the online update service and a clean driving license due to the location of the school.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide targeted support to individual students and small groups to help them access learning and achieve their potential.

  • Assist the class teacher in delivering engaging lessons and maintaining a positive, inclusive learning environment.

  • Support students with additional needs

  • Help prepare learning materials and resources under the direction of teaching staff.

  • Contribute to the monitoring and recording of student progress, behaviour, and wellbeing.

  • Foster positive relationships with students, staff, and parents/carers to support holistic development.

  • Uphold school policies on safeguarding, equality, and behaviour at all times.

 

About You

  • You’re passionate about making a difference in young people’s lives and supporting their education.

  • You’re patient, reliable, and adaptable, with excellent communication and teamwork skills.

  • You can build positive relationships with students and motivate them to succeed.

  • You have a genuine interest in helping learners overcome barriers and reach their full potential.

  • Experience in a school or educational setting is an advantage, but enthusiasm and the right attitude are equally valued.
