We’re working with a large secondary school with excellent, modern facilities to appoint an English Teacher. This role is equally suited to an Early Career Teacher or a more experienced practitioner looking for a well-structured environment.
The Role:
You’ll join a cohesive English department with a strong focus on consistency, curriculum clarity and pupil progress. The team works collaboratively to ensure all pupils develop strong reading, writing and analytical skills.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Teaching English across KS3 and KS4
- Planning and delivering engaging lessons in Language and Literature
- Supporting pupils to build confidence, fluency and depth of understanding
- Using assessment effectively to identify gaps and adapt teaching
- Contributing to a positive and purposeful classroom environment
About You:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or on track to achieve it (ECTs welcome)
- Strong subject knowledge across English
- A clear and consistent approach to behaviour and expectations
- Committed to developing your practice and improving outcomes
- Keen to work as part of a supportive and collaborative team
