Job Description

We are proud to be supporting a well-established and values-led education trust in Leeds to appoint a permanent HR Officer.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced HR professional who enjoys being hands-on, working closely with school leaders, and making a genuine impact across a busy and supportive trust environment.


The Role

As HR Officer, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality HR support across the trust. You’ll work closely with senior leaders and line managers to ensure processes are compliant, efficient, and people-focused.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Managing end-to-end recruitment and safer recruitment processes

  • Supporting employee relations casework including absence, disciplinaries and performance

  • Advising managers on HR policy and best practice

  • Maintaining accurate HR records and compliance documentation

  • Supporting onboarding, contracts and workforce data

  • Contributing to wider HR projects and trust-wide initiatives

This role offers variety, responsibility, and the opportunity to build strong relationships across multiple stakeholders.


The Ideal Candidate

  • Previous HR experience, ideally within education or a multi-site organisation

  • Strong understanding of employment law and HR best practice

  • Experience of safer recruitment and compliance processes

  • Confident communicator with the ability to build trust quickly

  • Organised, proactive and solution-focused

CIPD Level 3 or working towards is desirable, though not essential.
