 We are currently seeking an experienced and passionate Nursery Manager to lead a welcoming and well-established nursery in Wigan. This is an exciting opportunity for a confident leader who is committed to delivering outstanding early years provision and creating a positive, nurturing environment for children, families, and staff.

As Nursery Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day running of the nursery, ensuring the highest standards of care, learning, and safeguarding are consistently met. You will lead, support, and develop a dedicated staff team while maintaining strong relationships with parents and external professionals.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the nursery in line with EYFS and Ofsted requirements
• Ensure high-quality teaching, learning, and care across the setting
• Manage, motivate, and develop staff through effective leadership and supervision
• Oversee safeguarding, health & safety, and compliance at all times
• Build strong partnerships with parents, carers, and external agencies
• Manage occupancy, staffing ratios, and budgets effectively
• Prepare for and lead Ofsted inspections

Requirements

• Level 3 or above qualification in Early Years (Level 5 or above desirable)
• Previous experience as a Nursery Manager or Deputy Manager
• Strong knowledge of EYFS, safeguarding, and Ofsted frameworks
• Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills
• A genuine passion for early years education and child development
