We’re working on behalf of a supportive secondary school within a Catholic academy trust to appoint a full-time Science Teacher from January to March 2026. This role is to support pupils with additional and SEN needs, so strong behaviour management and a calm, consistent approach are essential.
Position: Science Teacher (Secondary)
Contract: Fixed-term
Dates: 2 February 2026– 27 March 2026
Hours: Full time
Setting: Secondary school within a Catholic Academy trust
Focus: Supporting pupils with additional and SEN needs
You’ll be responsible for delivering engaging and structured Science lessons across KS3 and KS4, creating a positive learning environment where pupils feel supported, challenged, and motivated to succeed. You’ll work closely with support staff and the wider department to maintain high expectations for behaviour and learning.
Holds QTS (or equivalent)
Has experience teaching Science in a secondary setting
Demonstrates strong behaviour management skills
Is confident, resilient, and adaptable
Has a genuine commitment to inclusion and pupil progress
A well-structured and supportive school environment
Clear expectations and strong systems in place
