We are currently recruiting on behalf of a well-established and inclusive secondary school in Tottenham for a Finance Business Partner. This is a fantastic opportunity for a finance professional to take on a strategic role within the education sector, working closely with senior leaders to support financial planning, sustainability, and operational effectiveness.
This role would suit someone already working within a school or trust finance team, or someone with public sector finance experience looking to apply their skills in a meaningful, community-focused environment.
Ideally, the school are looking for somebody on a 0.6, permanent contract, to work across 4 days (22.5hrs per week).
Act as a trusted advisor to the Principal and senior leadership team on all financial matters
Lead the production of annual budgets and three-year financial forecasts
Provide accurate, timely monthly management accounts and financial analysis
Monitor and maintain strong internal financial controls, including reconciliations and compliance checks
Manage and oversee monthly payroll processes, liaising with the Trust’s payroll provider
Support audit preparation and external reporting requirements
Lead on procurement initiatives and contract value reviews
Line manage the school’s Finance & Payroll Officer, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations
Experience in a finance business partnering, management accounting, or school finance role
Strong communication skills, with the ability to build relationships with non-finance colleagues
Excellent attention to detail and a proactive approach to identifying and solving problems
Strong Excel skills and experience with finance systems
A recognised accountancy qualification (ACCA, CIMA, ACA) or working towards one
Experience in education or multi-site organisations is desirable but not essential
