MAT Recruitment are excited to be supporting a brilliant school in Bradford in their search for a passionate Design Technology Teacher, preferably specialising in Food Technology. This is a 12-month fixed-term contract starting in September 2025 — perfect for a creative teacher ready to make a lasting impact.

As the successful candidate, you must hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and have strong subject knowledge of the Food Technology and DT National Curriculum. You’ll be confident in classroom management and committed to creating an engaging, inclusive environment that supports students of all abilities to thrive.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategically plan and deliver high-quality Food Technology and DT lessons
Create an engaging environment that inspires learners of all abilities
Narrow achievement gaps by:

• Implementing and managing effective assessment strategies

• Delivering a curriculum that facilitates progress for all learners

• Leading responsive interventions where needed across DT

Requirements:

✔ QTS and relevant DT/Food Technology teaching experience
✔ Strong knowledge of the National Curriculum
✔ Ability to engage with the wider school community and build positive relationships
