HR Director - Merseyside MAT
A successful Merseryside Multi Academy Trust is looking to appoint a experienced HR Director to support them with their continued success and growth. The role involves the below.
Strategic Planning and Compliance
- Develop and implement a people strategy and workforce plan.
- Ensure compliance with legislation, policies, safer recruitment practices, and GDPR.
- Maintain and update the Single Central Register (SCR) and employment contracts.
- Lead strategic planning and risk management exercises.
HR Operations and Administration
- Manage external HR providers, ensuring quality and value for money.
- Oversee recruitment, selection, onboarding, induction, and training processes.
- Manage and monitor payroll, absence management, and performance appraisal systems.
- Handle staff restructuring and maintain accurate job descriptions and organisational charts.
Policy Development and Advisory
- Create, update, and ensure compliance with HR policies across the Trust.
- Stay informed on market rates, legislation, and employment law.
- Advise and support leadership on HR issues, including investigations, grievances, and wellbeing initiatives.
Reporting and Analytics
- Monitor and analyse workforce statistics and turnover metrics.
- Provide reports and dashboards on performance management and absence levels.
Collaboration and Communication
- Support the CEO, Headteachers, and Trustees with HR-related matters.
- Liaise with professional bodies and Joint Consultative Committees.
- Promote colleague wellbeing and oversee CPD distribution.
Additional Duties
- Facilitate smooth transitions for new academies joining the Trust.
- Seek legal advice as needed and maintain health and safety standards.
- Undertake other duties as assigned by the CEO or Finance Director.
Education experienced - Desirable.All candidates will be subject to satisfactory DBS and references.
