Job Description

We are excited to announce a fantastic opportunity to join a brand new school based in North Greater Manchester, opened in September 2024, as a Director of Learning for English. This full-time, permanent role is ideal for an experienced English Middle Leader looking to define their leadership abilities and build the foundations of a successful English Department.
 
Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage the English Department, fostering a love for literature and language among students.
  • Collaborate with teaching staff to deliver high-quality lessons and achieve excellent results.
  • Develop and implement curriculum strategies to enhance student learning.
  • Support and mentor colleagues within the department.
 
Requirements:
  • Qualified teacher with experience in leading or supporting an English Department in a Secondary School.
  • Passionate about teaching English and inspiring students.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
