MAT Recruitment is supporting a Bradford academy with the appointment of a permanent Secondary Science Teacher. The school is looking for an enthusiastic practitioner who can engage pupils in Science, set high expectations and ensure students of all abilities are supported to make progress.

This is an opportunity for someone who wants to become an established member of a department rather than simply take their next teaching post.

The opportunity

You will teach Science across KS3 and KS4, delivering lessons that develop pupils' knowledge, understanding and confidence. You will have the freedom to bring your own strengths and subject expertise to the classroom while working as part of a supportive wider team.

The school is keen to appoint someone who:

• Holds QTS and has a strong understanding of the secondary Science curriculum
• Can teach effectively across KS3 and KS4
• Has high expectations of pupil behaviour and achievement
• Understands how to adapt teaching for different abilities and additional needs
• Builds strong, professional relationships with pupils
• Is reflective, collaborative and committed to their own development
• Wants to contribute to the department and wider school community

Applications are welcomed from Biology, Chemistry or Physics specialists, and the school is happy to consider both experienced teachers and ECTs.
