Job Description
A vacancy currently exists for the position of Exports Administrator. The Exports Administrator will be responsible for the processing of all export sales orders from start to finish, and to provide a support function for the sales team.
Key duties and responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
- Oversee and process all exports customer transactions accurately and timeously from entry to finalisation, ensuring compliance with the relevant regulations.
- Oversee all related export documentation, invoices and inspections.
- Manage all exports customer feedback requirements regarding order status, backorder reporting and general inquiries in adherence to all policies and procedures.
- Provide a supporting role to the sales team.
- Develop positive relationships with exports customers and provide professional customer service and support to these customers.
- Foster relationships with internal colleagues and relevant business departments, to ensure correct dispatch of export orders.
- Use initiative and be proactive in resolving exports customer queries promptly.
- Promote total customer satisfaction internally and externally through providing professional services and prompt query resolution.
- Other duties as assigned.
Education, Experience and Key Competencies
- Grade 12
- Exports qualification / logistics or similar (highly beneficial)
- At least 3 years’ experience in a similar role
- Understanding the exports cycle, cross trade and documentation
- Understanding of exports sales environment and export documentation
- Knowledge of the South African and foreign customs acts
- Computer knowledge: SAP and Microsoft Office
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills, telephonic as well as mail.
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
