Sales Coordinator Johannesburg (Roodepoort)
The role is responsible for supporting the external sales team by ensuring smooth operations, maintaining consistent customer engagement, and driving the achievement of sales objectives. Key responsibilities include providing administrative assistance, monitoring sales performance, and serving as a bridge between sales, marketing, and other departments to optimize overall efficiency and effectiveness.
The Duties Include But Will Not Be Limited To:
- Assist the sales team with lead management, tracking sales activities, and following up on prospects.
- Coordinate schedules, appointments, and travel arrangements for sales activities.
- Act as a point of contact for customer inquiries, ensuring timely responses and high service standards.
- Support the preparation of sales presentations, proposals, and customer-facing materials.
- Generate sales reports and analyse data to provide insights on sales trends and performance.
- Maintain customer databases and track customer engagement to ensure proactive follow-ups.
- Assist in the planning and execution of customer training sessions and product demonstrations.
- Collaborate with Operations, Finance, Procurement and Shipping & Logistics to ensure accurate order processing, stock availability and timely delivery – proactively resolving issues that may affect sales and customer satisfaction.
- Coordinate regular meetings with the sales team to review goals, address challenges, and update on account status.
- Support with compiling and presenting weekly, monthly, and quarterly sales reports for management.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualification and Requirements
- Grade 12 (or equivalent)
- Relevant Bachelor's Degree in Sales, Marketing, or related field
- Computer literate (Microsoft Office Package)
- SAP Literacy
- Familiarity with CRM tools
Experience and Knowledge
- Experience in a Sales Support/Coordinator role 2 – 5 Years
- Experience with sales order processing 2 – 5 Years
- Proficiency in using CRM systems and databases to manage customer relationships 2 – 5 Years
- Experience with data analysis and the ability to interpret sales trends and provide actionable insights 2 – 3 Years.
- Report writing to be able to present and give feedback to the relevant stakeholders.
