level= is delighted to be supporting Brentford Football Club in their search for a talented Communications Manager.
The club was founded in 1889 and has been through a period of great change in the past few years. They moved to a new, 17,250-seater stadium with outstanding facilities for fans, broadcasters, corporate guests, and the community in the summer of 2020, having previously played at their historic stadium for 116 years.

Communications Manager Responsibilities:
Promoting and protecting the reputation of the Club off the field. It covers areas including fans; corporate; community; commercial; equality, diversity and inclusion; and internal communications
Content creation you will write and proof content including website articles, reports, email campaigns, social copy and internal newsletters
Media monitoring and reporting you will help to monitor media coverage, create daily reports and build strategic coverage reports. This will sometimes involve early morning work
Dealing with media enquiries and building media relations you will support the Business Communications Director in handling media enquiries, drafting statements and briefing journalists, and you will build relationships with local, national and trade press
Communications Manager Requirements:
An excellent team player
Exceptional writing skills with the ability to draft incisive, clear and relatable copy on time and under pressure
Able to demonstrate good judgement, particularly when offering media advice or when handling sensitive issues
A willingness to learn and develop
Leadership experience, or the potential to be a leader in the future
Experienced in a similar role and should have a solid understanding of football, fan perspective and industry issues
Flexible to attend functions and events outside normal working hours including evenings and weekends on occasion
The Package:
Basic salary: £40,000 - £45,000 per annum
