US Law Support are pleased to be recruiting on behalf of a highly regarded US law firm, to assist in their search for an HR Director in London, to lead the UK Human Resources function.

This is a senior, hands-on role within a collegiate and high-performing environment. Working closely with firm leadership, the HR Director will take full responsibility for the London HR function, delivering a comprehensive generalist service across the employee lifecycle while driving best practice, compliance, and strategic HR initiatives.

Supported by an HR Coordinator, the successful candidate will play a key role in shaping a positive and high-performance culture aligned with the firm’s values.

Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Building strong, trusted relationships with employees and management, ensuring clear understanding and consistent application of HR policies and procedures.
  • Leading all employee relations matters, providing balanced and commercially sound advice.
  • Coaching and supporting managers to enhance engagement, performance, and organisational effectiveness.
  • Developing and implementing HR programmes and initiatives to support business objectives.
  • Overseeing the maintenance and accuracy of HR data, including hires, leavers, performance, and absence records.
  • Ensuring compliance with UK employment legislation and advising on the interpretation and application of policies.
  • Supporting the development and management of the London office budget.
  • Managing and optimising the HRIS for the London office.
  • Leading salary benchmarking and supporting annual compensation review processes.
  • Overseeing the benefits offering, including review, administration, and communication.
  • Coordinating all UK immigration matters.
  • Managing end-to-end recruitment processes for the London office.
  • Collaborating with key stakeholders, including COLP, COFA, AML Officer, General Counsel, and Data Protection Officer, on HR-related compliance matters.
  • Supporting wider firm and office projects as required.

The firm offers a highly supportive and collaborative culture, underpinned by strong leadership and a commitment to excellence. This is a permanent position with a structured and comprehensive handover to ensure a smooth transition.

A competitive salary and benefits package is offered, dependent on experience, and the firm operates on a hybrid working model (3 days in the office, 2 days remote).

Suitable applicants will have at least at least ten years of human resource management experience gained from within a law firm or professional services environment.

We encourage interested applicants to apply promptly. All successful applicants will be contacted by US Law Support and provided with full details of the opportunity.
