Habitats Creation Operative + Placement Bonus of £1,250

Location: Essex, UK (Site-Based)
Salary: £25,000 - £36,000 DOE

*£1,250 Placement Bonus

About Us

Our client is a leading Ecology, Arboriculture, and Landscape Planning consultancy, dedicated to delivering innovative solutions for habitat management and biodiversity enhancement. As part of a growing team, you'll work on exciting projects that restore and protect the natural environment.

The Role

We are seeking a Habitats Creation Operative to support habitat restoration and management projects. This is an opportunity for hands-on, practical conservation work, contributing to projects that make a lasting environmental impact.

What You’ll Do

• Habitat Creation & Management: Assist in planning and implementing habitat restoration and enhancement projects.
• Site Work: Carry out vegetation clearance, planting, fencing, wetland creation, and invasive species control.
• Health & Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety procedures and best practices on-site.
• Project Coordination: Attend briefings and toolbox talks, ensuring work is completed efficiently and to a high standard.
• Equipment Operation: Operate and maintain relevant machinery and tools.

What We’re Looking For

✔ Passion for Ecology & Conservation with hands-on habitat creation experience
✔ CSCS Card and relevant Health & Safety qualifications
✔ Full UK driving licence (towing experience beneficial)
✔ Flexibility for occasional overnight stays
✔ Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions

Desirable Skills & Certifications (Not essential, but beneficial)

• PA1/PA6 Knapsack Spraying
• NPTC Brush-cutters / Chainsaws / Aerial Climbing
• First Aid Certification
• CPCS/NPORS Certification (Excavator, Robo-flail, Tractor)
