Associate Director of  Planning + £3,000 Placement Bonus*

Location: Manchester and North - Hybrid

Salary: £55,000 - £65,000 + Receive a £3,000 bonus for joining the team*

The Role

As Associate Director, you’ll play a key role in expanding their presence in Manchester and the Northern region. Working closely with the Regional Director of Planning, you’ll combine your commercial acumen with technical expertise to drive new business, strengthen client relationships, and oversee high-profile projects.

This is a senior leadership role, offering the opportunity to make a significant impact within a growing multidisciplinary team.

What You'll Do

• Lead the client-centric agenda for planning services, both internally and externally.
• Build strong client relationships to generate new business and secure repeat work from excellent project outcomes.
• Develop a robust network across the industry and establish connections with local planning authorities.
• Identify and develop opportunities with both new and existing clients.
• Produce and deliver winning presentations, tenders, and final reports for clients.
• Negotiate major contracts, managing all legal and contractual aspects effectively.
• Manage significant and complex projects to a high standard.
• Provide technical leadership across relevant specialised fields.

• Expertise in leading multidisciplinary projects at a senior level.
• Commercially focused with a track record of business development success.
• Outstanding technical knowledge in planning services and a passion for delivering excellence.
• Experience in negotiating contracts and managing legal aspects of projects.
