The Role:
As a Senior Ecologist, you’ll play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality ecological services. Your work will directly contribute to the success of environmental and renewable energy projects across the UK, ensuring ecological compliance and sustainable outcomes.

What You'll Do:

• Conduct ecological surveys, including Phase 1/Fossitt habitat surveys, protected species scoping, and bat surveys.
• Produce comprehensive reports, including Preliminary Ecological Appraisals, Ecological Impact Assessments, and biodiversity management plans.
• Liaise with clients and statutory consultees to ensure project requirements are met.
• Attend client and site meetings.
• Undertake the Ecological Clerk of Works (ECoW) role when required.

What We Are Looking For:
Essential Criteria:

• A degree in ecology or a related field.
• Significant professional experience in report writing.
• Strong understanding of ecological legislation and regulations.
• Experience in Phase 1 habitat surveys.
• Excellent attention to detail, organisational skills, and flexibility to travel across the UK.
• A full driving licence and your own transport.

Desirable Criteria:

• CIEEM accreditation.
• Post-graduate experience in ecology surveys.
• Experience in ornithology, bat surveys, and using ArcGIS.
• Knowledge of Groundwater Dependent Terrestrial Ecosystems (GWDTE).
• Ecological Clerk of Works (ECoW) experience.
