Senior/Principal Hydrologist
Warrington, Glasgow or Bristol
£2,000 Placement Bonus* + Salary £40-£50k

Our client is seeking an experienced Senior/Principal Hydrologist to join their dynamic planning and environmental consultancy, with opportunities available in Warrington, Glasgow or Bristol. You will play a key role in delivering a variety of projects, including residential, infrastructure, and energy developments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead Flood Risk Assessments, SuDS schemes, and hydraulic modelling
• Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams and manage project delivery
• Conduct site visits, attend meetings, and produce high-quality hydrology reports
• Extensive modelling work using tools like Flood Modeller Pro, HEC-RAS, etc.

Essential Criteria:

• Relevant hydrology qualification, working towards or chartered (preferably ICE)
• Experience with Flood Risk Assessments, Surface Water Management Plans, and hydraulic modelling
• Strong knowledge of UK legislation and GIS
• Excellent attention to detail, organisation, and communication skills
• Full driving license

Desirable Criteria:

• Master’s degree in hydrology or related field
• Experience in peat stability assessments and EIA chapter production
• Tendering and bid preparation experience
