Role Summary:
We are currently seeking a skilled and motivated 2nd Line Technician to join our dynamic team. The 2nd Line Technician will play a crucial role in providing technical support and assistance to both our internal teams and external clients. This role involves handling escalated enquiries from the 1st Line Support Team, resolving complex technical issues, and contributing to various projects aimed at enhancing our services and infrastructure.

Required Technical Skills:
Proficiency in managing Active Directory, including user and group management, group policies, domain configuration, and security settings. Strong understanding of DNS concepts and configuration, including domain name resolution, DNS zones, records, and troubleshooting DNS-related issues. Expertise in administering Office 365 services, including Azure, Entra ID, Intune, Exchange, SharePoint, OneDrive for Business, Teams, and other Microsoft cloud applications. Knowledge of security best practices and experience in implementing security measures within Office 365, including mail-flows, data loss prevention (DLP), multi-factor authentication (MFA), and threat protection. Experience in managing and maintaining Windows Server environments, including installation, configuration, and administration of server roles and features. Proficiency in supporting and troubleshooting various Windows operating systems, including Windows 10, 11 and Windows Server platforms. Familiarity with a wide range of Windows software applications and utilities, with the ability to diagnose and resolve software-related issues efficiently.

Nice-to-Have Technical Skills:
Strong scripting skills in PowerShell for automation, administration, and management tasks within Windows environments, including Active Directory, Office 365, and Windows Server. Understanding of networking principles and protocols, including TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, VPN, and VLANs, with the ability to troubleshoot network connectivity issues and configure network devices. Knowledge of cloud computing concepts and experience with Microsoft Azure services, including virtual machines, storage, networking, and Azure Active Directory.

Required Personal Skills:
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues efficiently, often under pressure. Effective communication skills to articulate technical concepts clearly to non-technical users and stakeholders, both verbally and in writing. Ability to work collaboratively with other team members, including 1st Line Support, 3rd Line Support, and Project Management, to address complex issues and contribute to project success. Willingness to adapt to changing technologies and environments, with a commitment to ongoing learning and professional development to stay updated on industry trends and best practices.

Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 09:00 to 17:30 Flexible working hours available. Hybrid working arrangements possible based on performance.
