Job Description
Here's a decent stint with a Te Awamutu clinic for Locums looking for a Waikato winter. Close enough to Mt Ruapehu to be on your skis or snowboard by breakfast, or closer still to the river trails if biking is more your thing.

- 6-8 sessions/week
- Mix of family medicine and urgent care
- No after-hours

THE PRACTICE and THE TEAM
From modern purpose built premises, the large team of GPs, Nurse Practitioners, RNs, health coaches and administrators support the community’s health needs. As a registered teaching practice, continuous learning is highly regarded. The team is dedicated to excellent and compassionate patient care and supporting each other as colleagues.
LOCATION
Te Awamutu is a charming town in the Waikato region of New Zealand’s North Island. Servicing a long established farming community, it's a 20 minute drive to Hamilton airport for domestic connections. It’s 3 hours away from a day’s skiing at Mount Ruapehu; 2 hours from the surf breaks at Raglan or Mount Maunganui, or 12 minutes from the challenging but satisfying climb of Mount Pirongia.
ABOUT YOU
- Current full registration with the Medical Council of New Zealand
- High clinical competency and good communication skills are essential
- Keen to support a committed, values led team and friendly rural community
