Location
Christchurch is bursting with arts and culture, and so many options for the outdoor enthusiast. Walk the Port Hills above Christchurch, explore Banks Peninsula, or head inland to Lake Tekapo and Aoraki Mount Cook for clear mountain views and cooler hiking weather. Autumn is harvest season in Waipara Valley if vineyard lunches and farmers’ markets have a nice ring to them. Well served airport if you’re not a local.
