On the banks of the stunning Rakaia river is a close rural community famous for its salmon fishing and being the gateway to absolutely everything. Imagine finishing your work days with a jump off the wharf for a cool dip, a lazy paddle or a lung expanding walk up in the hills.

• Jan to Feb 2026
• 6/10 to 8/10 sessions per week
• Supported by rural nurse specialist and practice nurses
• Rakaia, Canterbury
• Gateway to everywhere

THE PRACTICE and THE TEAM
This practice is well respected throughout the district, offering standard GP services and Prime Contract, plus Health Coach, HIP and Physio to its 3000 enrolled patients.

LOCATION
Rakaia is a rural community about 40 minutes’ drive from Christchurch city. The location makes it easier to find that happy balance between town and country. If country is more your thing, fishing, hunting, skiing, mountain biking and rafting are within reach, and if the city beckons, enjoy dining out, theatre, and an active arts scene.
