LOCATION
Even with a population 135,000, Dunedin is the hidden gem of NZ. Known as the 5 minute city, it doesn’t take long to get anywhere, including into nature. Its beautiful beaches and historical architecture really set Dunedin apart, and the vibrant student life courtesy of the University of Otago gives the town some edge and positivity. It's known as the Edinburgh of the South for its strong Scottish history and cold winter temperatures, but the long hot summers last more than one day here! If you need to leave there are daily scheduled flights to other centres including Auckland International airport. Otherwise, beaches fields, bike trails, hikes and vineyards - Dunedin has something for everyone.
