This is a locum opportunity to really pour your heart into. Part of a service offering clinical outreach, this group of practices is intent on supporting the health and wellbeing of a diverse cultural community.
KEY INFORMATION
THE PRACTICE and THE TEAM
Communication, mutual respect, and a shared commitment to serving the community characterises this team of GPs, practice nurses, enrolled nurses, a dedicated diabetes specialist nurse, and a clinical pharmacist.
They operate as a cohesive unit that is centred around a Pacific provider which leads and coordinates a diverse team of healthcare professionals.
As well as clinical care, services are tailored to the community's needs, including LagiOla Healthy Minds for mental health support, dental services, social services, and diabetes retinal screening. This multidisciplinary approach supports the 'whole person', their place in their culture and their community.
LOCATION
The South Auckland suburb of Manurewa has a diverse cultural community, and easy access to both urban amenities and green spaces: Auckland Botanic Gardens, Totara Park, and the historic Nathan Homestead with its gardens and arts events are just a start.
Lace up your tramping boots and head further out to explore Waharau Regional Park and the Hunua Ranges. Or grab your board and car keys for a roadie to the surf beaches of the Coromandel.
Auckland Airport is on the doorstep for international flights and all domestic destinations across Aotearoa.
