Key Information

• General Practitioner or Nurse Practitioner
• Permanent opportunity
• 8 sessions per week, open to a couple seeking to share 10 sessions or similar
• Own patient list with flexibility to cover leave and support other partner clinics

The Practice and The Team

This partnership encompasses three established clinics and employs a large multicultural team of GPs, Urgent Care doctors, Nurse Practitioners, Practice Nurses, Healthcare assistants, Physician Associates, Health Improvement Practitioners, a clinical pharmacist, and Administration staff. It’s a collegial and collaborative team with the good health of its community at heart. What sets them apart is the encouragement to share skills and knowledge, and be curious. There’s a commitment to ongoing learning that’s more than just lip service, as is the commitment to personalising each patient’s healthcare experience.

Location
The Wairarapa sits just northeast of Wellington, about an hour’s drive over the scenic Remutaka Hill. The region, with its three charming towns at which the clinics are located, boasts a selection of boutique shops, cafes, restaurants and wineries. With the capital Wellington close by, there's easy access to regional and international airport connections. Framed by the Tararua Ranges to the west and the wild Pacific coastline to the east, there are endless options for your play time.

About you

• As a GP you will have current full registration with the Medical Council of New Zealand, or be eligible for registration through MCNZ
• As a Nurse Practitioner, you will have current full registration with the Nursing Council of New Zealand, or be eligible for registration through NCNZ 
• You’ll be keen to be part of an exciting new partnership with a committed team in a friendly rural community
• You may have an interest and experience in Urgent Care medicine
