Job Description

We have exciting permanent and fixed-term opportunities across New Zealand for Radiologists, including Diagnostic and Interventional specialties. Whether you're seeking a new challenge or dreaming of a lifestyle shift, we want to hear from you!

We welcome applications from experienced radiologists and encourage expressions of interest from candidates with skills in general imaging or interventional procedures. Opportunities exist across regional and urban locations, with each offering its own distinctive lifestyle, work culture, and community.

What’s important to you?
Let’s start with that and build your journey from there. Whether you’re after flexibility, specific procedural interests, or a fresh start in a beautiful part of the world, we’ll help shape the opportunity to suit you.

What’s on Offer?

  • Dynamic, collegial and supportive team environments
  • High-quality imaging departments with modern equipment including CT, MRI, Ultrasound, Fluoroscopy, and DSA
  • Opportunities for subspecialty work and clinical leadership
  • Attractive CME allowances and up to 10 days CME leave
  • Six weeks annual leave
  • Relocation support for international candidates
  • Flexible working arrangements including part-time and fixed-term options

You’ll find radiology departments that value strong clinical collaboration, diversity of caseload, and the opportunity to work in both hospital and community settings. Positions are available that may include interventional procedures to suit your sub-speciality interests such as:

  • Vascular access, angioplasty, and stenting
  • Biliary and drainage procedures
  • Image-guided biopsies
  • Vascular access including PICC line and dialysis catheter insertion
  • Ultrasound-guided steroid injections
  • Breast imaging and procedures

Why New Zealand?
New Zealand offers an outstanding lifestyle with access to mountains, beaches, hiking, biking, and skiing often all within a short drive. You’ll enjoy:

  • A publicly funded, well-supported healthcare system
  • A culture of collaboration and continuous improvement
  • Competitive salaries and benefits
  • Excellent schooling and tertiary education
  • A safe, welcoming, and multicultural society
  • A true work-life balance

Whether it’s city living, peaceful rural life, or something in between – there’s a place here that’s right for you.

About You
You will have:

  • Vocational registration or eligibility for registration with the Medical Council of New Zealand (MCNZ)
  • We will look at applications for those who meet the criteria for CHS or Locum Tenens
  • Relevant qualifications and fellowship training in Radiology (Diagnostic and/or Interventional)
  • A team-focused mindset, curiosity, and openness to new experiences
  • An interest in contributing to service development and clinical excellence

If you’re unsure about your eligibility, Good Together offers an obligation free initial assessment of your background to determine your best registration pathway and supports you through every step of the process.
