Three weeks in the Bay of Plenty in the middle of winter? Easy! Explore the city and coast, or if the snowfields are open, head to the slopes for the weekend. Here's a neat opportunity to contribute to a busy friendly practice in one of Tauranga's well known and well named suburbs.

• Locum opportunity for an experienced GP
• Three weeks from 23 June to 11 July 2025
• 6/10 to 8/10
• Special interest in the elderly and supporting the health needs of a lower income area
• Welcome Bay, Tauranga
• Accommodation and travel available

THE PRACTICE and THE TEAM
The small community practice has a friendly and inclusive team with one other GP, a nurse practitioner, Health Improvement Practitioner, Clinical Pharmacist and fabulous admin support.

LOCATION
Tauranga’s geography is quite unique for Aotearoa and the suburb of Welcome Bay has its own special flavour. Framed by water, minutes from the city centre or Mt Maunganui beach, and with a little shopping centre for day to day needs, it’s a nice little bolt hole for a few weeks in winter.

Close to Tauranga Airport, any water sport you can think of, bike trails, bush tracks, and great places to eat out. Kaiate Falls is a must-do, Rotorua is a 45 minute drive, or tootle up to Waihi Beach for surfcasting or beach combing.

• Current full registration with the Medical Council of New Zealand
• Adaptable – able to make an immediate impact to the team and patient care
