Job Description

Aotearoa

You’ve heard the reviews, now see for yourself!

Climate and lifestyle meet professional opportunities and growth when you mix living and working in New Zealand. It’s one of the few countries in the world where you can achieve that seemingly elusive state of balance.

If you're an outdoors type, how do you like the sound of hiking the Great Walks, river rafting, fly fishing, surfing and mountain biking? If the arts and culture are your thing, we have that in bucket loads too.

International Doctors, NZ is looking for you! Rural or urban settings, sunshine and ski fields, we will work to find the best place for you to thrive.

In New Zealand, the terms Senior Medical Officer (SMO) and Medical Officer of Special Scale (MOSS) generally refer to roles involving specialist-level work.

Senior Medical Officer (SMO): Doctors who have achieved a specialist level of training and are employed in senior roles, often overseeing more complex cases, or leading teams.

Medical Officer of Special Scale (MOSS): This role is typically for doctors who have advanced training but may not yet be recognised as full specialists. MOSS roles often include significant responsibilities and can involve work at a specialist level, but they might not have completed the full specialist training or registration.

If you are practicing in any of the following areas, we would love to hear from you!

  • Anaesthetist Consultants
  • General Medicine Consultants
  • Radiology Consultants
  • Emergency Department Consultants

The team at Good Together can support your registration with the Medical Council of New Zealand (MCNZ) and if you are unsure about your eligibility we can answer your questions as well.

What will you find when you get here?

  • High quality healthcare system that is publicly funded and well-regulated
  • Supportive and collaborative medical community
  • Exceptional standard of living, with a relaxed and friendly lifestyle
  • Stunning natural beauty and welcoming communities
  • Excellent educational opportunities, with a range of high-quality schools and universities
  • New Zealand is well-known as a safe and stable country
  • Competitive salaries and benefits for medical professionals
  • Opportunities to gain valuable work experience in a different healthcare system and culture
  • Aotearoa offers a healthy work-life balance, with many opportunities for leisure and recreation. You just need to take them!

About You
