LOCATION
Hamilton is the largest city in the Waikato region, with a population of around 152,640. In full growth mode, it has excellent road networks meaning that in 1.5 hours you can drive north to Auckland or south to the ski fields at Ruapehu. Half an hour away, the west coast beach town of Raglan is well known to surfers for its famous left hand break. The Hamilton Gardens offer year-round beauty and interest as do the Waikato river trails for running and cycling.
