THE ROLE

• An experienced GP working with a supportive team
• 10 patients per session; 15 minute appointments
• Approximately 10 on-calls a year 
• Permanent opportunity

 

THE PRACTICE and THE TEAM
It’s a small practice with a great team, operating from customised premises in the centre of town. They offer a range of support including women’s and men’s health, minor surgery, travel medicine, mental health and immunisations. They’re also big on encouraging health of the whole person: cultural, spiritual, creative, social.

LOCATION
For a small community, Geraldine packs a punch. Its vibrant atmosphere, diverse activities and amenities means there’s something for pre-schoolers to active retirees, and everyone in between. It’s a slight detour off the main highway for outdoor enthusiasts heading south for adventure. Nearby Peel Forest is a very precious and extensive podocarp forest with abundant bird life. The recently opened sculpture trail is the pride of the art community and the Geraldine Festival in November is the place to be for music, open gardens, street markets and local artisan food.

35 minutes from Timaru and 2 hours from Christchurch airport.
