Job Description
SEN Teaching Assistant (PDA Specialism) - CroydonWe are seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in Croydon, supporting children in Year 1 and Year 2 with Pathological Demand Avoidance (PDA).
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide tailored support to children with PDA in a classroom setting
- Collaborate with the class teacher and SENCO to implement individual learning strategies
- Create a calm, structured, and supportive environment to help children manage their anxieties
- Utilize creative and flexible approaches to engage and motivate pupils
- Assist with social, emotional, and behavioral development
Requirements:
- Experience working with children with PDA, autism, or other SEN needs
- Patient, understanding, and adaptable approach to learning support
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Passion for making a positive impact in children's lives
Details:
- Location: Croydon
- Start Date: Immediate
- Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM - 3:30 PM (no flexibility)
- Salary: £89.00 - £99.00 per day, based on experience
