KS1 Teacher (QTS Required)

Location: Mitcham, CR4
Job Type: Daily Supply
Salary: £150/day

We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Temporary KS1 Teacher to join a vibrant team in Mitcham (CR4). The successful candidate will have Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a passion for teaching young children. This role is ideal for someone who is adaptable, creative, and committed to providing high-quality education in a nurturing environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons in accordance with the KS1 curriculum.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that supports the academic and personal development of each child.
  • Assess and monitor students’ progress, providing regular feedback to students, parents, and senior staff.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement effective teaching strategies.
  • Manage classroom behavior in accordance with the school’s policies.
  • Participate in school events and activities, contributing to the wider school community.
  • Maintain accurate records of students’ progress and development.
  • Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of all students.
  • Utilise a variety of teaching methods and resources to enhance learning experiences.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential.
  • Proven experience teaching in a KS1 setting. - Strong knowledge of the KS1 curriculum.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to create a stimulating and safe learning environment.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Proficiency in using educational technology and resources.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and the wider school community.
  • Commitment to continuous professional development and staying updated with educational best practices.
  • Enthusiasm, creativity, and a passion for teaching young children.
